Why are Elves and Half-Elves restricted? During this time in Lor’Elvenor’s history the Elves have abandoned the continent to whatever its fate maybe. Dwarves, gnomes, halflings, avarians and feys may still vaguely remember the regal race but men and myrmidons have completely forgotten them. Very few elves exist on Lor’Elvenor and those that do keep to themselves deep in forests of their ancestors or in the lands of their allies. Elves’ distrust (and sometimes outright hate) of the myrmidons keeps them far from the eyes of The Empire.

If a player pushes to play an Elf or Half-Elf for the “Defender, Deliverers or Deceivers” Campaign then consider it an interesting option worth considering. Why is this Elf still around and willing to walk among humans and myrmidons? If he is a Half-Elf is he truly a Half-Elf or a product of recessive genes from humans who had a lot of intermixing with Elves? How will people react to his or her unusual look? Think of this time in Lor’Elvenor’s history like the time in Europe known as the Dark Ages. Most people are uneducated, live in isolated communities and are very superstitious. Remember to make life interesting for the player’s Elf character but not impossible. Some may fear him while others may be intrigued.
