“It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.” – The Bard

Early in the month of Chaitra, just after the first of the new year the blue sun of Nalmorah known as Kamala reveals itself behind the larger sun Falak, which burns orange. The sight of Kamala is the first official sign that spring has arrived. For the months leading to winter the people of Nalmorah watch Kamala reappear, move away from Falak, return to Falak to partially eclipse it, move away again and finally disappear by the larger sun as the winter chill takes hold. The timing is so precise the calendar system is based on it’s movements and return from hiding.
